Itinerary

Pick up times –  7.15am to 8.00am

Depart from Tórshavn with the ferry called Smyril

Sail for two hours to the southernmost island, Suduroy.

On the journey we will sail past Stóri Dímun, Lítli Dímun & Sandoy

Arrive on Suduroy, we drive to the village of Tvøroyri to look at the beautiful and rare basaltic columns here.

Depart Tvøroyri, and drive to the village of Hvalba, which arguably is one of the most beautiful villages in the Faroe Islands.

Drive to places like Hvalbiareidi and Fiskieidi, to see beautiful landscapes.

Drive to the Northernmost village of Suduroy, Sandvík

After spending some time in Sandvík, we drive South to a village called Fámjin, where the oldest Faroese flag is located inside an old church. Because the west side of Suðuroy is primarily cliffs, Fámjin is the only village on the Western coast. This means the village is surrounded by beauty.

After this we will go in to the local cultural house; Salt, which in older days was where they stored salt for the fish industry. Today it has been renovated and converted into a cultural pearl.

The journey goes then all the way to the Southernmost village, Sumba and we will pass the villages of Vágur and Lopra. Here we will pass the second highest cliff in the Faroes; Beinisvørð, where there will be a chance to see and take photos of this impressive bird cliff.

After exploring the village for a while we take another route back from Sumba, and drive past the villages of Porkeri and Hov.

Back at the ferry, Smyril and head back to Tórshavn

Arrive back in Tórshavn, and drive you back to your hotel or designated drop-off point

Several bathroom breaks and photo stops on the way
