A whole day, guided tour to the Western-most island in the Faroe Islands, Mykines, which has the biggest puffin-stock in all the Faroe Islands, and on this island, you will actually get really close to them. This tour includes a beautiful hike out to the famous lighthouse, that is a must, when visiting the Faroe Islands. Arriving at the lighthouse, you will be greeted with a packed lunch and beverages, which is perfect while sitting in this paradise-like enviroment. When arriving back at the village, a local man will invite you in to his house and give you some well deserved food, cake and coffe, which is perfect while waiting for the ferry to take you back to the mainland.
What To Expect
Whole day guided tour to the Island Mykines. Pick up and drop of in the capital at all hotels and some other places. Transport with bus, ferry and hiking fee included in the price. Packed lunch, warm dinner, coffe & cake is also included in the price. After pick up in Tórshavn you can sit down and relax for approx. 40 mins while the bus will take you on a pictures drive towards the village Sørvágur. Arriving in Sørvágur you will be handed a ferry ticket from the tour guide. The sail is approx. 30 min to Mykines. Arriving in Mykines, the small group heads up to the village into a local guys house, were you will be handed a packed lunch and water. When everyone is ready, we will slowly hike toward the islet Mykineshólmur. You will have plenty of opportunities to take pictures and get close to Puffins og the path. Arriving at the lighthouse on Mykineshólmur you will eat your packed lunch and enjoy the surroundings. After eating lunch, we will take a different way back, were we can get really close to the biggest birds in the Faroe Islands, the Gannet. Back at the village the local guy waits us with warm dinner, drinks, coffé and homemade cake. Usually the ferry sails 1-2 hours after coming back to the village, so you will have some time to walk around in the village by yourself before going back to the ferry. Back in the village Sørvágur its time to go back into the bus and head back to the capital. The driver will take a different route back, so you will see as much as possible. The tour has come to an end and you are back right at your hotel or drop of point in Tórshavn after a long, event full day.

Subject to favorable weather conditions. If the ferry cancells due to poor weather, and the tour has started, another tour to the island Vágar will be done instead, and you will get a 30% refund.
If the ferry cancelles early morning before the tour has started, you will be offered the Photography tour to Vágar island and 30% refund, or a full refund and no tour.
